Hilary Pecis

What draws me to Hilary's work is her ability to infuse the everyday with a sense of wonder and significance. Her compositions, rich with geometric patterns and interlocking fields of color, invite us into spaces that feel both lived-in and thoughtfully arranged. Her focus on the details of everyday environments encourages us to develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty found in those familiar objects and scenes we might come to take for granted. In this way, Hilary’s work is very much about making art meaningful in daily life.

The flowers in this print bring a particular exuberance to my kitchen. The way the blooms are balanced in the frame gives me a sense of looking through a window onto a flower bed. When I have fresh cut flowers on the counter, which I try to gift myself weekly, there is a particularly joyful dialogue between the flowers in the frame and those I brought home from the Farmer’s Market.

One last thought: never shy away from hanging art in your kitchen! Or frankly anywhere that you spend a lot of time!
